Project BRIDGE
Bridging the digital divide through skills and access
Project BRIDGE establishes a community-based digital skills and vocational training center in Ibadan, Nigeria’s third-largest city. Through an intensive 10-day training camp, underserved children, youth and adults gain practical computer skills, English communication, and employability training on real equipment, not theory.
The center is built to outlast any single grant. Equipment is already secured, and each camp leaves behind trained alumni who return as peer trainers.

Three labs, one launchpad
Lab 1 — AI & Creativity
Digital art, media and hands-on AI tools. Participants move from first keystrokes to creating real digital content.
Lab 2 — Advocacy & Free Expression
English for professional settings, digital storytelling, and safe, confident participation in civic life online.
Lab 3 — Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship
Spreadsheets, budgeting, mobile money, digital marketing and the basics of running a small business.
Every participant chooses a lab and graduates with a capstone: a real pitch, campaign or business plan presented to the community.

Project BRIDGE is delivered in partnership with The Esther Arokun Foundation (TESAR), which serves as the operational host in Ibadan — providing center management, community outreach, and local logistics. The project is led by two U.S. Government exchange program alumnae serving as Team Leaders, with three local digital skills trainers delivering the curriculum on the ground.
